Bringing together a group of citizens who actively support the library through advocacy, volunteer services and fundraising

Join our volunteer nonprofit organization of people who believe that a dynamic library is crucial to the education, well-being and success of the community and each of its residents, young and old.

Comprised of all volunteers, the Friends group endeavors to involve the community by stimulating interest in and use of the Hankin Library.  We do this by obtaining resources for the library.  Money raised by the Friends goes directly into library programming.  Our nonprofit status allows the Friends to apply for grants and receive corporate funding that the library may not otherwise be entitled to.

Join the Friends and give back to this vital community resource.  Many of your friends and neighbors already have.  See the membership tab for details and benefits of becoming a Friend.

Join the Friends and return more than just books to the Henrietta Hankin Branch Library

Who Are the Friends?

The Friends are a volunteer group that supports the library and expands its effectiveness in the community. The Friends provide financial support by supplementing the library’s budget and advocacy support by providing the library with a voice in the community. The board meets regularly at the Henrietta Hankin Branch Library. All members of the Friends are welcome to attend these meetings.
